Ben Drysdale is an award-winning singer songwriter born, bred and living on Ngunnawal Country in Canberra, Australia.
His performances are built on connection—equal parts storytelling, lived experience, and emotional resonance. Drawing on decades of personal mental health challenges and work facilitating creative projects with marginalised communities, his songs carry an authenticity that translates powerfully in live settings —each song offering either a sense of quiet solidarity, or uplifting rambunctious celebration.

Ben truly believes that everyone has a story and anyone can learn to write a song, regardless of whether they have any music background or 'talent', so has combined his songwriting knowledge with his decade experience creating theatre with non-actors to create 'Songwriting for Non-Songwriters' a community guiding people through the process of writing their first song. There are free tips and exercises online, free 'Elements of Songwriting' Zoom sessions, and options to dive a litter deeper with an online group class. Find out more here...
Drysdale has a solo career as an Indie Folk artist, is the singer and songwriter of funk and soul act East Row Rabble, works with producers for his new blues/Indie rock act Back Alley Scholar and writes collaboratively with other artists.
